Mother's day card - Kraftin' Kimmie

Another one of my favourite stamps is Kraftin' Kimmie, and in particular their Moonlight Wispers collection.
This stamp is one of the recent releases and I just love the luxurious and romantic feel of the image !
I've made another mother's day card with it :

The sentiment stamp is from Stamps Antwerpen, I've made a little curve in the text label and fixed it with some 3D foam :

Get well card

Deze "Iepje heeft tandpijn" is één van de nieuwe releases van In2stamps, en heeft naar mijn gevoel terug zo'n fantastisch sprookjesgehalte.
Ik wou een warme beterschapskaart maken maar het blauw van het Webster's Pages papier kwam nogal koud over, daarom heb ik het gecombineerd met rood cardstock en rode bloemen.

One of the new releases from In2stamps is this adorable "storybook image" as I call it : "Elmit has toothache".
I wanted to use the background from Webster's Pages but also wanted to create a "warm" get well card, so I combined the blue with a warm red for the cardstock and flowers.

De stempel heb ik ingekleurd met aquarel, rondom uitgesneden en met wat 3D blokjes vastgemaakt :
The stamp is coloured with watercolor pencils, cut out and fixed with 3D-foam :

Eerste-communiekaart

A few years back, before I discovered "cute" stamps I used to make cards with handmade paper and stamps.
Today, a bit to show that a card doesn't always have to be "complicated" or overloaded with papers and embellishments, I've made this card for a "first communion" using some handmade paper.
Voor ik de "cute" stamps ontdekte, maakte ik vooral kaarten met handgeschept papier en een stempelafdruk. Ik wou dan ook eens proberen of ik een ingekleurde stempel kon combineren met handgeschept papier. Ook om eens te tonen dat een kaart niet altijd heel ingewikkeld hoeft te zijn.


Knight Ludovicus from In2stamps is such a fun image and I've coloured him with only a few colors, again no copic markers but some watercolor pencils. The base of the card is handmade paper, a deckle edged mulberry card, and the brown paper is also mulberry with coffee.
So you see using cute stamps doesn't always have to take much time : just add a little flower, button and text label to finish and ready is your card !
Ik vond "Knight Ludovicus" een leuke stempel voor een eerste communie kaart ; ik heb het kleurenpalet vrij sober gehouden. Voor het inkleuren gebruik ik een eenvoudig en goedkoop gereedschap nl. aquarelpotloden. De kaart is moerbei papier met schepranden. Nog een bloemetje, knoopje en labeltje en je kaart is klaar !!

Lady Petronella mother's day card

Another card with one of the new releases from in2stamps. This time I've used Lady Petronella, I just adore this image, isn't she so sweet ?
I've used the new line from October Afternoon, a crocheted flower and some magnolia flowers, the swirl is from Prima (E-line).



Colouring is done with my watercolour pencils:

First DT card

Here's my first dt card for In2Stamps and I must admit I was a bit nervous ! I kept the layout of the card rather simple because the Webster's pages paper doesn't need much extra layers or embellishments, in my opinion at least ;)

I've used a stamp from the new april release : Jimmy and Grandpa gardening. I thought it would also fit perfect for father's day so I've this father's day card with it :

Welkom !

Hallo en welkom op m'n nieuwe kaartenblog !

Ik zat al een tijdje met dit idee in m'n hoofd omdat ik de indruk heb dat veel mensen ofwel kaarten maken ofwel layouts maken en slechts de minderheid combineert beide. Vandaar dat het leuker leek voor m'n volgers om aparte blogs te maken, zo kan ieder volgen wat hij wil, kaarten of layouts of misschien wel beide ?

Ik plaats binnenkort m'n nieuwe kaarten dus kom gerust nog eens langs !
